Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of 46th foundation day of BJEM School, students dressed in colourful costumes took part in a programme Tuesday morning here. Approximately 200 students participated in a procession under the theme ‘My culture & Heritage.
Along with it, the students also organised an exhibition on the said theme during which they showcased Odisha’s as well as India’s rich culture and heritage depicting festivals like the Rath Yatra, Raban Podi. They also performed dances to portray various tales of the Mahabharata and Ramayana.
Dishes such as Pitha, Dahi Bada and other delicacies have been put up in more than 90 stalls inside the school premises. Principal of the school Sandhya Jena, visited the stalls and felicitated students who displayed the best costumes.
