BJP fields Kharbela Swain from Kandhamal, ex-DGP Prakash Mishra from Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday declared its candidates for two Lok Sabha and seven Assembly seats for the ensuing General Elections to the Parliamentary Constituency and Legislative Assembly Constituency of Odisha.

The saffron party has fielded Kharbela Swain from Kandhamal and Shri Prakash Mishra, ex-DGP of Odisha, who joined BJP yesterday from Cuttack.

Mishra, who served as Odisha DGP from 2012 to 2014, joined the saffron party in the presence of senior leaders, including Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Biswa Bhushan Harichandan and Damodar Rout at the party’s state headquarters, Sunday.
