BJP observes six-hour bandh over CDMO’s suspension

Sundargarh: Protesting the suspension of the chief district medical officer, district BJP unit is observing a six-hour bandh in the town Monday.

The bandh was observed from 6am to 12 noon. While vehicular traffic was off the road, government offices shops and business houses downed their shutters. However, education institutions were kept out of the bandh’s purview.

The party has demanded revocation of the suspension order.

Notably, the Odisha Government yesterday suspended CDMO-in charge Pankaj Patel for dereliction of duty.  He was placed under suspension on charges of not executing the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative of the State Government at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
