Bhubaneswar: The BJP Friday expressed its displeasure over the state government not inviting Union ministers for the upcoming Make in Odisha conclave and attacked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik over the issue.
Senior party leader and Odisha-in-charge Arun Singh said, “More than Rs 5 lakh crore has been invested in Odisha through the Central PSUs. Several such PSUs are working very well in Odisha and contributing to the progress of the state. Since we are facilitating huge investments for the state through the PSUs, the Union ministers and concerned departmental ministers should have been invited by the CM. They could have broadcast their views.”
Lampooning the CM, Singh said, “The Chief Minister has a small heart. The state which hosts Lord Jagannath, who is worshipped by many from across the country, has such a CM who has a small heart. It is due to this that progress in Odisha has halted.”
“The youths, farmers and teachers are on the streets. The countdown for the state and general elections has started as well as the countdown for the downfall of the state government started too. This time there will be a change,” he said.
