Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would hold a state-level workshop for organisational elections at party headquarters here Thursday as the previous date of August 25 was cancelled due to the demise of senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley.
All the state functionaries of the party, national executive members from Odisha, district presidents, MLAs, MPs, zilla parishad presidents and vice-presidents, newly-elected district election officers and their deputies would attend the meeting, assistant election officer spokesperson Sudipta Ray said.
He said as many as 300 leaders have been engaged to ensure smooth management of organisational elections.
BJP central assistant election officer and MP Vinod Sonkar, Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi, party’s state president Basant Panda, national vice-president Baijayant Panda and state election officer Ranjan Patel would attend and hold discussion on various topics, said Ray.
