Bhopal: Bodies of five children aged between one and seven were recovered Wednesday from a well at Chikhli village in Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh. Their parents are absconding.
The villagers, who woke up to the chilling scene of five bodies floating in the well Wednesday morning, immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
The children were identified as Sandeep, Pradeep, Sahadar, Randeep and Anay of Bhatar Singh from his two wives, four from his first wife Sangeeta and one from second wife Sunita.
The police have started an investigation to find out how these children fell into the well. “The complicity of Bhatar Singh and his two wives in the incident cannot be ruled out as they are absconding,” informed the police.
