Bhubaneswar: Bank of India (BoI) has been taking various initiatives to provide relief measures for the people of cyclone-hit areas in the state.
BoI MD-CEO Dinabandhu Mohapatra visited many affected slums and villages of Bhubaneswar and Puri. The BoI team led by Mohapatra distributed about ten thousand food packets and drinking water bottles and also dry milk packets to the affected people of Salia Sahi, Bhubaneswar, Bira Harekrushnapur, Beleswarpatna and Balukhand situated in the Puri-Konark coastal belt.
A truck loaded with food materials and drinking water was handed over to the District Collector of Puri.
Mohapatra also visited Chief Minister’s office and handed over a cheque of Rs 25 Lakhs for immediate relief to the Chief Minister’s relief fund.
During the relief operation, Abhijit Bose (General Manager NBG East), YN Dwivedi (Zonal Manager Bhubaneswar Zone), Gupte Ram Naik (Zonal Manager Keonjhar), Smurti Ranjan Sahoo (President- BOIOA), Kamaljit Mohapatra (General Secretary of BOIOA) were also present. Mohapatra assured to continue the relief operations from Bank of India for the people affected by the devastating cyclone.
