Bolangir: Bolangir Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital authorities Sunday claimed that they have achieved success in preparing ‘immunity booster’ for COVID-19 patients.
The college claims that the booster will go a long way in treating COVID-19 patients.
According to a source, a team of professors, doctors and lecturers led by college Principal Dr Arun Kumar Dash had been on the job of preparing an ayurvedic medicine which would act as an immunity booster.
The team had gone around jungles and forests to collect some specific roots. Using these collected roots, they have prepared this ‘immunity booster’.
The medicine will make a difference in treating COVID-19 patients, the college claims.
It was learnt that District Collector Chanchal Rana allowed the college to go ahead with the preparation of ‘immunity booster’ and for this, Rs 2.10 lakh was released from Red Cross.
According to a source, the medicine, termed as ‘immunity booster’, will soon be provided to COVID-19 patients. The medicine will be handed over to the district administration after successful trials.
It has now become a point of discussion in the Bolangir district and people are looking forward to the availability of this medicine. “In coming days, the district will create history in Odisha in producing medicine to treat COVID-19 patients,” they said.
