‘Bring back plumber’s body from Dubai’

Kendrapara: The family members of a plumber who died in Dubai more than a week ago have urged the district administration to make arrangements for bringing the body back.

Dusasan Patra, 55, a resident of Radhanagar village under Aul police limits, had gone to Dubai eight months ago to work there. But he died due to cardiac arrest on December 31, according to the information received by the family of the deceased from the fellow villagers who were working with him in Dubai. Dusasan leaves behind his widow Saraswati and two sons, 18-year-old Amarajit and 14-year-old Abhijit.

No steps have been taken by the administration to bring back the body of Dusasan from the alien land, nor does the family have capacity to do it, said Saraswati.

On receiving the information, Aul tehsildar Aswini Kumar Bhuiyan and Aul police station IIC Maheswar Sethy visited Dusasan’s house in Radhanagar village.

“We would bring it to the notice of the district collector and request him to take necessary steps to bring back Dusasan’s body from Dubai,” said the tehsildar. The bereaved family members also urged the Chief Minister to take steps to bring back Dusasana’s body to their native village, so that they could perform the last rites.
