BSE answer-sheet evaluation begins

Bhubaneswar: The fate of 5,87,720 students are in the process of being sealed as evaluators of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) started correcting answer-sheets today. The evaluation process is being carried out in 60 centers by 16,030 evaluators.

Arrangements have been made for completing the evaluation process by April 5. Every day, the evaluators will be working from 10 am to 5 pm. Camp Officer and their staff provided by BSE reached the centres on-time today to start the evaluation process. The sheets were taken out from the strong room in complete security and all Board guidelines were diligently followed.  Mobile phones were banned during answer-sheet evaluation.

Meanwhile, fate of several students is still in jeopardy as the Board has canceled the English Exam at Ghunsar Government High School in Bolangir, PR High School in Dhenkanal and Krupasindhu Nodal High School at Gopinathpur in Cuttack. While 222 students had appeared in the exam at Ghunsar Government High School, 226 gave the exam at PR High School and 227 in Krupasindhu High School. The exam had been cancelled after the English question paper had gone viral during the day of exam.

Around 108 OMR sheets of Mathematics had also gone missing from SSD High School in Malkangiri. Following this, three persons had been arrested. A meeting had been convened on March 12 to take decision on these two matters. However, the issue still hangs in balance.
