BUDDING & BLOSSOMING MINDS

Blossoms accords great importance to creating opportunities for students to learn and be assessed in a variety of ways. And its teachers, therefore, consider a wide range of learning modalities such as visual, auditory and kinesthetic…

Bhubaneswar: A school is always known by the quality of education it imparts. And Blossoms School at Bharatpur in the city believes in shaping great human beings with love and compassion. Cocooned by the greenery all around, the school is situated adjacent to NH on Chandaka-Khandagiri Road.

The school was set up in 1984 under the aegis of founder-director Nadia Moghbelpour who envisioned an ideal institution of distinction. The school grooming children from pre-nursery to Class X has received laurels and appreciation for its educational performance, values it upheld and exceptional cleanliness.

Amenities

Blossoms School has all modern amenities one can ever think of. Right from its computer labs, wonderful library, huge playground, activity area and bus service, the school is endowed with spacious digital classrooms.

Social activities

As part of its philanthropic activities, the school has taken up education of 20 students free of cost. It also imparts lessons in peace, humility, ethics and morality.

Academic excellence

According to director Nadia Moghbelpour, the school does not encourage competition on the campus as it believes in living in unity and harmony. However, every student in the school is treated as brilliant. Academically, many have won medals for their academic excellence and co-curricular activities. The school has become a great abode for children who have come to grow as wonderful individuals with peace and harmony.

Blossoms School regularly holds workshops of three-hour duration involving groups of 30 to 50 participants. Parents also get an opportunity to take part in group discussions, activities and presentations on a specified subject. After the workshops, the parents often get in touch with teachers and share their success stories that boost the morale of their children.

Blossoms works as an ‘‘Inclusive School’’ which focuses attention on at least one child with special educational need (SEN) in every class. Such kids learn, contribute and take part in all aspects of school life. Students with SEN spend most of their time learning with their peers, and the school encourages such children to be effective in their inclusion. The special educator in this case works with each SEN student, and checks in with the class teachers. Special educators or shadow teachers also come to the classroom to interact with students directly.

“Blossoms believes in giving and sharing. This virtue, when cultivated at a young age, can impact the way one thinks in a society. Hence, this helps shape the child’s personality at a later stage of life. In view of this we observe Generosity Week in the school every December…,” asserts Nadia Moghbelpour.

Kids are wonderful

A child in general knows more than us. As teachers, we must nurture them to become great individuals. Giving them the right space, freedom, care and proper education to build their personality is very important. We believe, all the children in Blossoms School are wonderful.

I wish everyone a lot of success in their endeavour.

Holistic approach

We’ve adopted a holistic approach to all aspects of education. If you really want to see transformation in the society, then you have to bring in reformation in the way we educate. Every child is endowed with noble qualities and we need to groom and explore them through love, nourishment and proper orientation. What is really required of us is to nurture them and give them unconditional love and protection.
