Nabarangpur: Thirty-three persons, including 20 children and nine women sustained serious injuries after a bus they were travelling in overturned in this district Sunday evening.
The incident occurred while the travellers, mostly tribals from Ramasha village in Jharigaon block, were on their way to Papadahandi to witness the ‘Bahuda Yatra’ of Lord Jagannath.
The vehicle overturned after the driver lost balance on the wheels on Umerkote-Papadahandi state highway, police said.
The injured were taken to the Community Health Centre at Papadahandi and 11 of them, including four children and five women, were later shifted to the District hospital here.
