Bhubaneswar: The state Cabinet will Monday meet under chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat here to discuss several key issues ahead of the monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly beginning Tuesday.
Sources said as many as eight proposals are likely to be discussed at the meeting scheduled to be held this evening.
Besides different welfare schemes, discussions on extension of tenure of 66 civic bodies ending September 30 is likely to be discussed during the meeting.
As the state government has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Orissa High Court verdict on seat reservation, it has not been able to provide information on ward delimitation and seat reservation to the State Election Commission, informed sources.
The civic body election is not likely to be held until the SC verdict is out. This may delay the civic body polls, sources added.
