CBI summons Surya Patro’s son in chit fund scam

Bhubaneswar: Biplab Patro son of Co-Operation, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister Surjya Narayana Patro has been summoned by the Central investigating agency, CBI to appear before it regarding his involvement in connection with the Artha Tatwa chit fund scam.

CBI has sealed 50 flats in Nakhara as the AT Group had taken the sale and purchase of the flats by a real estate firm at Nakhara, Biplab was mediating in the sale and purchase of the flats, sources said. The minister’s son has allegedly amassed huge sum of money in the deal after the completion of the project.

According tp CBI sources, Biplab was called to CBI office and questioned about the close association with AT Group CMD Pradeep Sethy and installation of computers at his office in Nayapalli by Sethy as the purchase bills were paid by AT Group’s account.
