CBSE suspends 130 teachers including 7 from Odisha 

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Seven teachers from Bhubaneswar are among a lot of 130 teachers suspended by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in connection with detection of errors in calculating marks for the Class XII examination papers in evaluation. The action was taken after the CBSE faced sharp criticism over such grave errors.

According to reports, the CBSE initiated action against 45 erring teachers from Patna, 27 from Dehradun, 14 from Chennai, 11 from Allahabad, six from Delhi, two from Guwahati and one from Thiruvananthapuram, besides eight each in Ajmer and Panchkula.

The CBSE had declared both the Class 10 and Class 12 results in the last week of May. Candidates who were dissatisfied with the marks they were awarded had applied for the re-evaluation, which had started from June 1.
