Central minister accuses Odisha of creating hurdles in Central schemes

Rourkela: Taking a dig at the state government, Union minister of state for rural development Ramkripal Yadav accused it of throwing a spanner in the works of Central funds as far as their utilisation is concerned in the state.

Addressing a meeting on Sankal Patra programme at Bhanja Bhawan in Rourkela Thursday, he said: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented a host of schemes to push development of the country. Sustained efforts are being made to bring out a societal change. But hurdles are being created in Odisha for implementation of Central schemes.

“Ayushman Yojana has not been implemented here. Had this scheme been executed in Odisha, it would have induced a change in overall development of the state. Therefore, Odisha has lagged behind in all sectors. The Central government has laid emphasis on people from all walks of life.”

The minister said that the Central government has announced an assistance of Rs 6000 for each farmer while each labourer in unorganized sectors is entitled to receive Rs 3000 pension.

He asserted that the BJP-led government has been ably running a corruption-free government in the country.

“Narendra Modi is committed to pushing the country as a numero uno one at the global level. The NDA government has achieved spectacularly in toilet construction under Swachh Bharat. The betes noires of Modi should introspect.”

Throwing a warning of caution, the Union minister asserted that conspirators will never be successful in their game plan and the BJP will come out with more number of seats in the coming elections. He added that the people of the country are well aware of what is happening now.

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram speaking on Man Ki Baat, said that the Sankalp Patra of the BJP has raised hopes among the countrymen.

“Opinion of the people in all LS and Assembly seats will be gleaned. Views and suggestions of the people will be given due importance in policy implementation.

BJP district unit president Jagabandhu Behera, Bhagban Rout, Kisun Sahu, Dhiren Senapati, Nihar Ray, Raghu Bal, Pramila Das and Latika Patnaik were present at the meeting where Yadav flagged off Sankalp Rath. The Rath will travel in all constituencies in Sundargarh.
