Centre is committed to Akhand Bharat, declares Pratap Sarangi

Balasore: Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Pratap Chandra Sarangi hailed the scrapping of Article 370 and 35A and asserted that the Centre is committed to achieving Akhand Bharat (Greater India).

Addressing a press meet here Saturday, Sarangi dropped broad hints about the NDA’s intention of implementing the Akhand Bharat concept and annexing lost areas like PoK to India.

“Scrapping Article 370 was in the election manifesto of the BJP. By doing away with this article, the government has fulfilled its promise. The government has delivered justice to the people of J&K,” he declared.

He also pointed out that if a youth of Pakistan marries a girl in J&K, he usually gets residency in J&K, but a citizen who marries from other parts of the country loses his/her J&K residency.

“This dual system used to exist over the years. Many leaders in previous governments had deliberately wanted to continue this,” he said.

The Union Minister hoped that the scrapping of Article 370 will pave way for investments, setting up of new hospitals, industrial units and will create more employment in J&K.

Over the years, the youth of J&K were going astray and getting attracted towards terrorism, he noted. Three families had been looting J&K all these years, he added.
