Bhubaneswar: The number of vacant faculty positions in the Centre-run educational institutions will be filled soon, Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan has said. The minister has promised to give priority to OBC and other economically disadvantaged candidates for filling up the vacancies on his Twitter handle.
Pradhan met students from the All India OBC Students Association in this city Monday. The students expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing 27 per cent OBC reservations in the All India Quota of NEET examinations and for his commitment for ensuring dignity, justice and opportunities to OBC communities.

Pradhan said that the focus of the Central government is to provide working opportunities to the middle class and the poor. He also said that the government is trying to open up as many opportunities as it can to the deserving. He pointed out that in the last seven years the BJP-led government has done much to create extra job opportunities for people in India.
