Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday advised his council of ministers and senior officers to have food at government-run orphanages, schools and Aahar centres during their official visits to check the quality of food being served over there.
“Instead of having lunch at hotels or somewhere else, the ministers and senior officers can have food at state-run institutions for orphans, schoolchildren and differently-abled persons so that they can get a taste of the quality of food being served to them. The surprise visits will ensure better quality and administration of the centres,” Patnaik instructed.
While paying official visits to various districts, the ministers have been instructed to limit the number of people accompanying them to three-four and maintain secrecy about the trip.
The ministers were further asked to furnish details of their visits and recommend scope for making the system better.
