Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has cancelled the remaining papers of the annual Plus-II examination 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation in Odisha, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash Wednesday.
The department took the decision following the Unlock.2 restrictions imposed by the central government on reopening of educational institutions across the country in view of growing number of COVID-19 cases.
Earlier, plus two examinations 2020 in the streams of Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational course had been postponed by the CHSE with effect from March 23 till further orders due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
However Dash also said in a press conference that Plus-II Exam in all the streams will be conducted after lockdown period gets over.
However, the decision has been taken in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak that has affected 7,316 people in the state.
The department has not cleared anything about the checking of the answer sheets and declaration of the Plus-II examination results.
