BHUBANESWAR: On the eighth day of .FEST (Bhubaneswar City Festival), audiences were mesmerized by Shreya Ghoshal, the songstress known for her soulful playback singing, as she gave an amazing performance at the festival.The evening commenced with a brilliant performance by singing sensation from the state Sonam Dash. The occasion drew in a vast crowd of more than 30,000 people from across the city.
Shreya was seen performing some of her famous songs like Jaduhai Nasha, Deewani, BaharaBahara, Raabta, Pinga, Samjhawan, Nagada amongst many more at her live performance. Twirling to each melodious beat, Shreya converted the arena of the festival into an echoing ambience of cheers and claps. Inviting audiences to join in on her choruses, Shreya left no stone unturned and offered a truly memorable experience for the locals and visitors with her performance. Fans were thrilled to see their favourite singer perform live in their city. It would not be an overstatement to say that may were living their dreams.
A visitor Deepak Dehury said, “I had never expected to see Ghoshal perform live. It is a dream come true for me. I have come with my friends from college. We are having an wonderful time in this party atmosphere.” His friend Sweekruti Panda said, “Shreya ghoshal is my favourite singer. Watching her perform live at my hometown sends shiver down my spine. Not only am I enjoying her enthralling performance but relishing international cuisines from all over the world as well.”
Amidst the on-going performances, the third day of BhuFeSto witnessed large crowds again with unique storytelling sessions. Today’s sessionincluded one specially designed for the visually challenged which focused on the use of sounds, music, onomatopoeia and sound-scaping. Offering a mouth-watering experience with wafting smells of delicious food, the International Street Food Festival continues to draw in a vast number of people for an exhibition of authentic and international fare from over 16 countries and multiple states across India.
A reveler Gopal Panigrahi said, “I can’t remember the last time when I had so much of fun in one single day. From soulful performances to delicious cuisines, .Fest has it all. I would surely come on all the remaining days as well.” Dev kumar Sahoo said, “I have not come here to watch the musical nite as I am not a fan of music. However, I am a food lover. There is no item which is unavailable at the fest. It’s amazing how one fest can cater to the needs of all.”
The .FEST is set to wow audiences Sunday as popular singer Shaan will take to stage to perform some of his popular Bollywood hits for the people of Bhubaneswar.
