Malkangiri: A Class IV girl has been battling for her life on the hospital bed after she was allegedly raped by a youth in this district Thursday, reports said.
According to the complaint filed by her family members with the police, the youth lured the girl to his house and committed the crime.
The incident came to the fore after her uncle spotted blood stains on her clothes.
The survivor’s uncle Kartik Dutta said that upon reaching home from market, he had spotted blood stains on her clothes and asked her about it. “At first she avoided telling the truth. When she was pressurised, she narrated the ordeal,” he added.
Later, the victim complained of illness following which she was admitted to a hospital.
Malkangiri police have launched an investigation into the incident.
