Keonjhar: Passengers travelling in a bus had a close shave after the vehicle caught fire all of a sudden near Naranpur village under Town police limits in Keonjhar district Sunday.
The incident spread panic among the locals. People ran helter skelter to save their lives. Luckily, no casualty was reported from the area.
The incident occurred while the private bus ‘Tarini Prasad’ was en route to Ghatagaon from Keonjhar. All of a sudden, smoke started emanating from the vehicle on National Highway-2 near Naranpur. Hearing screams, locals rushed to the rescue of the passengers.
While no exact reason of the fire breakout was ascertained, locals suspected it occurred due to short-circuit.
