CM asks officials to follow up on pending projects

New Delhi: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Wednesday, held a review meeting with the Chief Resident Commissioner’s (CRC) office and asked officials to follow-up projects related to railway network and telecom and banking sectors pending with the Union government.

According to the CRC, the Chief Minister went through the action taken by the office of the CRC subsequent to the last review meeting held in January, 2019 and reviewed the issues and projects pending with different Ministries of the Union government. He directed Chief Secretary and Chief Resident Commissioner to ensure follow-up on these issues.

“We reviewed a number of issues related to the Central government. Last time we held a meeting, we had set some target for the office of CRC. I’m glad that we have made good progress on all those issues. I have asked the CRC for a close follow-up with the Ministry of Railways on projects where state government is bearing 50 per cent of the project cost besides providing land free of cost.  A follow-up on issues related to telecom and banking density in the state is also necessary,” said Naveen Patnaik.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the 5T framework for the CRC office and expressed his happiness that lot of progress has been made both in the administrative and financial management.
