CM enhances ex-gratia from Rs 10L to Rs 25L for Odia martyrs in Pulwama terror attack

Bhubaneswar:  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced enhancement of ex-gratia from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh for the next of kin of the two CRPF jawans who attained martyrdom in Phulwama terror attack.

The State Government will bear the education cost of their children and the native villages of the martyrs will be made model panchayats. In addition to that, their schools will be named after the Shaheed jawans.

 

Friday, the Chief Minister had announced Rs 10 lakh ex gratia for each bereft kin of the two Odia martyrs, Manoj Behera of Cuttack and Prasanna Sahu of Jagatsinghpur. He had also talked to the family members over phone.

 

A ‘Fidayeen’ bomber belonging to the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) rammed an explosive-laden SUV into a bus carrying CRPF troopers in Lethpora area of Pulwama February 14 at around 3.15PM. The attack claimed 45 lives.
