Bhubaneswar, May 14: Better late than never. The state government Thursday initiated a digital campaign for Nabakalebara 2015 by launching a special website and an android app. The campaign was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Secretariat.
“The objective of the digital campaign is to make Nabakalebara a global event through a state of the art website www.nabakalebara.gov.in,” the Chief Minister said, adding that it would be a user-friendly mobile application in Android, iOS and Windows platforms. There would be an extensive social media campaign ‘Nabakalebara 2015 Official’ on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus platforms.
The website will have the following sections: About Nabakalebara; Story of Daru Bramha; Role of the Sevayats; Ongoing Rituals; About Sreekshetra; About the Trinity; Tourism and Culture; Information on How to reach Puri; and Places to visit around Puri and in Orissa. Information related to accommodation, Nabakalebara news, Twitter Speaks, videos and Photos and information on health and safety, parking places and local travel etc will also be provided.
The app contains facilities such as Factoids, Schedule, Maps – Online and Offline, Helpline, Utilities such as banks, police stations, hospitals, tourist spots, videos, books, gallery, recent news etc.
“The social media campaign will cover the event news, interesting facts about the Nabakalebara and Puri temple, Orissa Tourism information and other related info,” the CM said.
