CM okays Rs 6.50 cr for 246 projects in 26 panchayats

Polasara: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik granted Rs 6.50 crore for 246 rural development projects in 26 panchayats in this block in Ganjam district under the ‘Ama Gaon Ama Vikas’ scheme Saturday.

Panchayat sarpanchs, samiti members, zilla parishad members, officials and villagers were present during the video conference with the CM. The villagers hailed the CM’s schemes for rural development.

As the people cheered the CM for his instant sanctioning of funds, the CM sought public cooperation to make the scheme a success.

The CM spoke about development projects and directed the authorities to start work immediately and complete the projects before deadline.

The sarpanchs were given a target to complete the projects in three to four months. With a target of Rs 25 lakh each for each panchayat, the CM okayed Rs 6.50 crore for 246 projects in 26 panchayats.

Polasara MLA Srikant Sahu, Ganjam collector Premchand Chaudhary, former MLA Niranjan Pradhan, Aska MP Ladu Kishore Swain, former MLA Niranjan Pradhan, tehsildar Diptirani Das were present at the meeting.
