CM presses green button for 5 units worth Rs 415Cr

Bhubaneswar: In what would usher in major industrial expansion in the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday performed ground-breaking and inauguration of 22 industrial projects worth Rs 13,311.53 crore.

He inaugurated five industrial units with investments of Rs 415.67 crore and laid foundation stone of 17 other projects worth Rs 12,895.86 crore. The state government aims to generate employment opportunities for 10,677 persons through these projects.

The projects include metal and downstream, tourism, textile and apparel, cement, plastic and food processing units.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said, “I am pleased that step by step, we are going high with impressive investments in the manufacturing sector, making the position of our state stronger as a manufacturing hub of India.”

“Our consistent efforts to improve the investment ecosystem laced with our peaceful social climate are paying off to realize our desired goal,” he said.

He further said the Mo Sarkar and 5T Initiatives of state government are solidly in place to effectively streamline the investment facilitation mechanism in the state.

“We must ensure that the citizens and businesses are provided services from the government in a hassle-free and time-bound manner. Towards this objective, the launching of the mobile version of GO PLUS, the land bank information system will be helpful for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state,” he added.

Industries Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra said over the past few months, the state has developed and enabled online registration and approval systems for over 30 Government to Business (G2B) services.

Further, the state Single Window System GO SWIFT has been streamlined and now it provides over 50 services covering 18 departments through an end-to-end online mechanism with no need for any physical contact between the applicant and the approving authority, Mishra said.

The Chief Minister inaugurated a logistic park by KTL Logistics and Services Limited (Purvi Bharat) in Choudwar (Cuttack), five-star hotel in Bhubaneswar by Lifeline Multiventures Pvt Ltd, pellet plant expansion project of Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited at Pandloi (Sambalpur), water and amusement park by Fun Leela Water Park at Lahandabud (Jharsuguda) and waste plastic recycling plant by Lackeir Stilit Plastic Industry at Rambha (Ganjam).
