Sambalpur: With Sambalpur district limping back to normalcy after experiencing a flood-like situation for two days, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday reviewed the flood status at the district headquarters here before heading towards Boudh and Subarnapur to take part in the Sabuja Mahanadi Abhijan (Green Mahanadi Mission).
The Chief Minister landed at Jamadarpalli air strip near Hirakud Dam area on the outskirts of the town to review the flood status in the district.
The Chief Minister, who took stock of the situation, sought to know whether it was natural or artificial flood due to manmade errors.
Patnaik ordered the district administration to assess the situation and submit a report soon so that compensation could be paid to the affected at the earliest.
All the district officials including local MLA Raseswari Panigrahi, the Revenue Division Commissioner (RDC), Collector, SP and other officials attended the meeting.
