Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday sanctioned Rs 34.52 crore for execution of 1,297 rural projects in 154 gram panchayats (GPs) of seven blocks of five districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash (AGAB) programme.
Interacting with the people of these blocks through videoconferencing, the CM approved the projects for Firingia block in Kandhamal district, Badasahi and Karanjia blocks in Mayurbhanj, Jhumpura and Harichandanpur in Keonjhar, Paikamal in Bargarh and Kolnara in Rayagada district.
Patnaik sanctioned Rs 4.80 crore for 224 projects in 24 GPs of Firingia block while Rs 7.50 crore has been approved for 311 projects in 30 GPs under Badasahi block and Rs 3.75 lakh for 182 projects in 15 GPs under Karanjia block.
Similarly, Rs 5.40 crore was sanctioned for execution of 168 projects in 22 GPs under Jhumpura block, Rs 5.52 crore for 166 projects in 25 GPs under Harichandanpur block, Rs 3.35 crore for execution of 152 projects in 22 GPs of Paikamal block and Rs 3.20 crore for execution of 92 projects in 16 GPs of Kolnara block.
With this, the CM has so far sanctioned Rs 1165.11 crore for execution of 47,011 rural projects in 5,138 GPs of 236 blocks of the state.
