Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the second anniversary of the fifth term of the BJD government May 29, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will review the performances of several departments in a phased manner between May 15 and May 25.
According to sources, the BJD supremo will review the performance of the departments on fulfilling the promises made by the ruling party in its election manifesto during 2019 general and Assembly elections.
The Chief Minister, in a letter to all the ministers, has informed them about the review meetings which will be held in the presence of the secretaries of the concerned departments. The ministers have been asked to apprise the Chief Minister of e five major achievements and successes of their respective departments.
The members of Council of Ministers will also brief the Chief Minister about the implementation of the 5T and Mo Sarkar programmes in their departments and how these programmes have improved the functioning of the departments.
Stating he believes in work not in words, the CM said, “In a democracy, people are masters and accountability is most important.”
“Four-and-a-half crore people of Odisha have given us the responsibility. Therefore, we should be accountable to them. It will enhance the dignity of democracy,” he said. After the review meetings, Naveen will hold a special meeting of Council of Minister from May 29.
