Cuttack, July 15: Coaches of both the finalists expressed their disappointment over the performances of their wards in the FAO Women’s League at the Bidanasi Ground here, Wednesday.
Champion team ECoR’s coach Biswajit Padhihari was not pleased with the team’s victory margin. “We have been playing the final since the last three years. We were quiet optimistic to reach the final this time also. I am not surprised at all with our victory by I am not pleased with the margin of win. We could have easily scored two or three goals but missed a lot of sitters,” Biswajit stated.
Biswajit also warned that he may take strong steps against players who are not up to the mark. “There will be major changes in the team in near future. We are building a team for the future. So, we are looking for some fresh legs and talents. There will be recruitments of new players soon. So hopefully we will build a strong team. It is high time that the team improves its performance,” he said.
Meanwhile Sports Hostel’s coach Sarita Jayanti Behera felt that though her team’s outing was lacklustre, they would improve with experience. “We could have played much better but the girls are very young and they will improve with time,” Sarita said.
