Bargarh: The driver of a coal-laden truck had a narrow escape when the vehicle caught fire here Thursday night.
The vehicle has been completely damaged in the incident. That said, what caused the fire is yet to be ascertained.
According to locals, the truck was heading towards Rayagada from Jharsuguda. The mishap took place while it was passing through Bargarh town.
The alert driver managed to save his life and save some documents along with belongings by getting them out of the driver’s cabin. Within seconds, fire engulfed the entire vehicle.
On being informed, police and fire fighters reached the spot. The fire brigade doused the flame. Local police are investigating into the incident.
