Coffee bar as meeting point for young at hear

Bhubaneswar:  It’s drizzling. Everyone in this season is looking for comfort over cup of warm tea or coffee. Whether it’s Koffee with Karan show or an advertisement for some instant coffee on the television, coffee has caught up with the imagination of every young person.

The city, of late, has witnessed a growing trend of coffee bars or cafes where Orissa Post interacts with a few coffee connoisseurs. Excerpts:

Smarak Ranjan Behera, an engineering student: I often get bored. So my hangout time is with my friends at a coffee bar. Nowadays coffee bars are mushrooming because they are places with well-stacked games, books, live music and great food. Gaming options like bowling, Zinga, board games, will give us great time. For me it’s my best hangout with my buddies over a cup of coffee. It could be Coffee Café day, Bocca Café, Brew Berry or Chocolate house.

Bipasha Singh, a student: ‘Our college is so far away from Bhubaneswar. That’s why on my way back home (at Patia) I often catch up with my dose of coffee at Brew berry coffee bar. The ambience is nice and my girl’s gang also meet up there and what’s more right from gossiping, to sorting out youngster troubles we do it all at the café and yes the place is a pure bliss to hang out’.

Sambit Mahapatra:- Professional working at Reliance Insurance– ‘For me its Mama Mia at Mayfair, as the coffee house is filled with macaroons ,pastries and various eateries. For my client meetings as well as to hangout with friends in rainy season this coffee house has it all. The black coffee arouses my taste buds and I end up eating a lot more  along with my cup of coffee’.

Swati Singh-Model-‘ Being a professional model I hardly find time to conect or hangout with my froends, but whenever I do ,its like a party. Coffee is my weakness and I prefer Hookie Dookie Café where they serve varieties of coffee along with continetal, chinese food. In fact, the sandwiches and pastries are equally good and what can be more exciting than watching the rain drizzling down on the windows glass pane while you sip your coffee’.

Sarnya Biswa, a student: ‘Coffee and me are best friends, whether its to celebrate a win or to celebrate a loss the warm cup never fails to amaze me.Even when my parents come tovivit me at the hostel I immediately  take them toa coffee shop and enjoy my time with them. All I can say coffee is the best friend of every teenager’.

Amrit Mohanty- Student at OEC-‘I prefer the Chocolate house where they serve amazing cold coffees and boy those pastries are chocolicious. M girlfriend and me have raided the place many a time to taste the raw taste of morrocon coffee.Amazing isn’t it’.

Rohit kumar-Student at Kiit University-‘ The main reason why nowadays youngsters are meeting up at coffee bar is very simple.First its affordable, you can make noise, hug and the best part is live music and customized party setup by the café owner. What’s more can one ask for.Whether it’s a cosy date or a full boy’s evening out Bhubaneswar has various coffee bars that are giving a tough competition to the restaurants and hotel business’.
