Coffee-table book released in Capital

BHUBANESWAR: A coffee table book titled ‘Kansa Maharaja: The Hero of Bargarh Dhanu Yatra’ was released by Odisha Live here Wednesday. To mark this event, sculptor Nityanand Ojha, Hindustani Singer Aurosish Pani and two Odissi dancers Maheswari Pradhan and Arunima Acharya were honoured as ‘Odisha Live Youth Icon’ for their contribution to art and culture.

Joining as guests in the event held at Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre, Eminent writer Hiranmayee Mishra presented a review of the book. In his welcome address, the CEO and Chief Editor of Odisha Live, Nilambar Rath stressed on the humble attempt of Odisha Live in propagating and perpetuating the rich cultural legacy of the state. He also thanked the personalities associated with such an innovative effort.

The youth icons on the occasion were felicitated by Former Ambassador, Abasara Beuria, Hindustani Vocal Exponent Chittaranjan Pani and front ranking poet and bureaucrat Pradeep Biswal. The spectacular coffee table book captures the seven decade long journey of Bargarh Dhanu Yatra , which will be of immense significance to non-Odia readers, tourists, journalists and researchers.
