Bhubaneswar: The college students’ union election is likely to be held October 12.
While dates for the election are yet to be announced by the Higher Education Department, the preparations have already started, reports said.
According to sources, the authorities have plans to conclude the polls before Dussehra.
A report on the possible dates will soon be submitted to the Higher Education Department and the poll schedule will be announced after getting approval from the ministry.
Meanwhile, a few colleges have proposed a selection procedure instead of elections. According to the proposal, the college authorities can select the representatives after reaching a consensus.
