Concrete road a distant dream for this village

Dabugaon: Inhabitants of a village in this block of Nabarangpur district have approached the local and block administrations for an all-weather road to their village, but to no avail.

More than 40 families reside at Bandhasahi hamlet under Dangiriguda panchayat. The road connecting the hamlet to Tehshil Colony Chhak is in a poor condition, due to which the locals have to face many problems in transportation, especially carrying the ailing persons and pregnant woman to hospital as neither ambulance nor any four-wheeler could enter the village easily.

Besides, large craters are also found on the road, endangering even pedestrians.

The suffering becomes acute during the rainy season as the pits on the road turn into artificial water bodies.

The villagers have brought the matter to the notice of the local administration and have filed written complaints with the block and panchayat offices, but no action has been taken in this regard so far.

The local residents including Dasharath Dhakad, Kesab Paika, Krutibas Paikam, Ghasiram Dhakad, Narsingh Bhatra, Maheswar Das, Sahadev Dhakad and Budu Bhatra have demanded a concrete road to the village at the earliest.
