Rayagada: The Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) fourth battalion camp here observed Jal Shakti Abhiyan on its camp premises Monday.
The programme was aimed towards creating awareness on water conservation. Several activities were undertaken where participants took a pledge to save water.
A seminar and tree plantation programme was organised on this occasion at Government Women’s College in Rayagada where Yatendra Kumar Rajput, commandant, fourth battalion, CRPF and his second in command Mitu Roy attended the seminar and planted saplings in the presence of the students.
Assistant commandants Suman Mishra, GC Swain, Sanjay Kumar of the CRPF camp, principal Reba Patro, DK Mohanty, permanent staff of Lok Adalat, Captain Reeta Rani Mishra of NCC wing of the women’s college, students, officers and jawans of the CRPF participated in the event.
