Nabarangpur: Vigilance sleuths Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at the house and office of Jharigaon Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (LAMPCS) managing director Mansai Panka on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Officials of the vigilance department raided Panka’s residence and paternal house at Bharandiparam under Jharigaon police limits in the district, a single-storey building at Umerkote and his office at Jharigaon.

During the raids, several documents and papers were verified and seized for investigation.

“The move came after a search warrant was issued by the Jeypore Special Vigilance Judge after receiving a complaint that Panka has possessed properties disproportionate to his known sources of income”, an official from the vigilance department informed.
