Coronavirus update: 1,474 new COVID-19 infections registered as local cases decline in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 1,474 new cases of coronavirus infections in the state in the last 24 hours. This information was given by the I&PR Department, Government of Odisha via a tweet Wednesday. Out of the new positive coronavirus cases, 855 persons were in quarantine while the remaining contracted the disease by coming in contact with infected persons.

The death toll in Odisha rose to 1,364 with 12 new fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. Most of these COVID-19 patients were suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other complications.

District Wise Breakdown: In last 24 hours Angul district recorded 76 fresh COVID-19 cases, similarly Balasore 78, Bargarh 68, Bhadrak 19, Bolangir 89, Boudh 5, Cuttack 120, Deogarh 7, Dhenkanal 18, Gajapati 5, Ganjam 33, Jagatsinghpur 67, Jajpur 39, Jharsuguda 39, Kalahandi 36, Kandhamal 19, Kendrapada 56, Keonjhar 69, Khurda 175, Koraput 23, Malkangiri 29, Mayurbhanj 52, Nabarangpur 30, Nayagarh 20, Nuapada 46, Puri 73, Rayagada 7, Sambalpur 37, Sonepur 5, Sundargarh 104. On the other hand the state pool stands at 30.

The current number of active cases in Odisha stands at 13,919. So far 2,95,889 persons have tested positive for the disease in the state.
