Bhubaneswar: A local court here denied bail to Khageswar Patra, the business partner and close associate of Archana Nag in connection with the money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate Tuesday. On other hand, Nag’s associate Shradhanjali Behera again failed to appear before the court.
Behera’s lawyer sought another 15 days for her appearance due to illness.
Meanwhile, Nag’s lawyers and her husband Jagabandhu Chand moved the court seeking bail in the same case.
Notably, the ED has been investigating illegal money transactions of the lady blackmailer, Nag, Jagabandhu, Shradhanjali and Khageswar. Nag and others were reportedly involved in amassing property worth crores through extortion by honey-trapping high-profile persons. They used to secretly make inappropriate videos of the victims and later blackmail them threatening to lodge false police cases and making viral of their inappropriate videos on social media.
