COVID-19: 515 fresh recoveries take Odisha’s total recovery tally to 12,452

Khurda district emerges as 2nd hotspot of coronavirus infections after Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: Another 515 COVID-19 patients in Odisha recovered Sunday taking the total number of recovered cases to 12,452, the Health and Family Welfare Department informed in a tweet.The patients after testing negative for coronavirus have been discharged from COVID hospitals, it said.

Among the districts that reported recoveries, Ganjam came on top reporting 199 recoveries. Then came Khurdha with 80, Jajpur with 40, Sundergarh with 37, Cuttack with 28, Keonjhar with 20, Jagatsinghpur with 18, Balasore with 15, Jharsaguda with 13, Bargarh with 13, Mayurbhanj and Rayagada with nine each cases, Balangir with eight, Bhadrak with seven, Gajapati with six, Puri with six, Koraput with five and Angul and Kendrapara with one case each.

Odisha had earlier reported 736 new positive cases and five new COVID-19 deaths Sunday. The total number of active cases in the state stands at 5381.
