Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered Tuesday 1,462 new COVID-19 recoveries, the Health and Family (H&FW) Department said in a tweet. All the recovered patients have been discharged from their respective facilities spread across the state. With the discharge of the new patients, the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in Odisha climbed to 2,80,553. Earlier in the day the state had reported 1,201 cases of new COVID-19 infections. Hence Tuesday was another day when the number of recoveries outnumbered the number of new cases.
Districts that reported three-digit recoveries were Khurda (174), Cuttack (128) and Kendrapara (104).
The other districts from which recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours are: Sundargarh (77), Angul (72), Bolangir (65), Puri (56), Balasore and Jharsuguda (54 each), Bargarh and Jagatsinghpur (53 each), Nabarangpur (47), Jajpur and Mayurbhanj (42 each), Keonjhar (41), Ganjam (39), Nuapada (36), Kalahandi (34), Boudh and Sambalpur (32 each), Malkangiri (27), Bhadrak (25), Koraput and Nayagarh (24 each), Deogarh (16), Dhenkanal, Sonepur and Kandhamal (15 each) and Gajapati (seven).
The H&FW said in another tweet that 60 persons from the state pool have also tested negative for COVID-19 after being treated.
So far 1,352 persons have succumbed to the deadly virus in Odisha. Most of those dead were suffering from various other comorbidities.
