Bhubaneswar: In view of the rising Covid-19 cases in Odisha and particularly in Khurda district, the Odisha Human Rights Commission has decided to close its office at the Toshali Bhawan in Satya Nagar locality for 11 days beginning May 3.
“The OHRC office will remain closed from May 3 to 13, excluding scheduling holiday and until further decision,” informed the OHRC secretary in an order Friday. The decision has been taken to contain the spread of the disease in the office by regular sanitisation of the premises.
The order stated that during the period only urgent cases will be taken up for hearing. The complaint petition may be filed through official email ([email protected]). In case of any urgency, the Assistant Registrar, OHRC, can be contacted over his cell (Cell No-8763642080). Extremely urgent cases can be taken up after obtaining permission from the Chairperson, the order stated.
“The employees of OHRC shall be available to attend to any office work as and when required, on short notice and be available on telephone during such period and not leave the headquarters without prior permission of the authority,” the order further said.
