Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Tuesday announced Covid unlock guidelines that will be applicable across the state beginning September 1.
The weekend shutdown which was enforced in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri has been lifted. The shop closing deadline has also been extended from 8 pm to 10 pm.
All businesses and commercial facilities in the state are permitted to stay open until 10 pm.
However, night curfews will remain in effect in all urban areas across the state from 10 pm to 5 am. During the upcoming festive season, night curfew limits will be important to limit unnecessary movement of people late at night.
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena said that in view of the drop in daily cases of Covid-19 infections, the state government has decided to relax restrictions to support the livelihood of people.
The relaxations will remain in force from September 1 to October 1, 2021.
