Bhubaneswar: Their love story was out of the blue and culminated in marriage in March. Yes we are talking about India and Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan Bumrah. While Sanjana is in Mumbai, her hubby is in Chennai doing IPL duty for Mumbai Indians (MI). So due to their professional engagements, the couple could not be together to celebrate their one month marriage anniversary. However, the two took to their various social media accounts to display their love and show how much they are missing one another.
Sanjana was seen hosting the pre-match show of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) match Thursday. She took to Instagram to share a picture with Bumrah. She wrote how this special occasion made her miss her husband and the cake ‘little extra’. “Missing the husband and that cake a little extra today,” she wrote on Instagram.

Earlier in the day, the MI player also took to Twitter to wish his wife on their one-month wedding anniversary. Bumrah shared a lovel picture with Sanjana. He wrote: “One month of love, belly laughs, silly jokes, long conversations and peace. One month of being married to my best friend.”
Mumbai Indians will play their first five IPL league games in Chennai. So the fast bowler cannot rush back to Mumbai to be with his wife.
Bumrah’s career has indeed been a checkered career so far. The fast bowler made his international debut in 2016. Since then he has gone leaps and bounds to emerge as the premier fast bowler of India. It should also be stated here that former Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga has contributed a lot in Bumrah’s development. Bumrah so far has played 19 Tests, 67 ODIs and 50 T20 Internationals for India. Yes, injuries have bothered him, but Bumrah has always come back stronger.

In the new central contracts announced by the BCCI on Thursday, Bumrah has been retained in the top A+ grade, along with skipper Virat Kohli and his Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. It means that his annual contract with the BCCI is worth Rs 7 crore.
Bumrah took 27 wickets in the last edition of the IPL played in UAE. He played a major part helping Mumbai Indians win their fifth IPL title. In the current edition of the tournament, Bumrah so far has managed to get just two wickets. However, it needs to be said here that it is early days yet.
