Jajpur: The state government has made cash award provision for the beneficiaries who complete their units under various housing schemes in time.

Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das reviewed the progress of housing schemes Friday and directed the officials concerned to disburse the cash award to beneficiaries.

As per guidelines, the beneficiaries who will complete their houses within four months after getting the work orders, will get Rs 20,000; those completing within six months will get Rs 20,000.

The Collector was of the view that work orders of Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be given to the beneficiaries by organising melas. And at the same time cash award should be given to the beneficiaries so that more and more people will get aware of cash awards, Das added.

Das also noted that many beneficiaries were not aware of the cash award.
