CRPF busts Maoist camp in Nuapada; huge cache of firearms, ammunitions seized

Nuapada: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) busted a Maoist camp in Patadaraha forest near Bhainsamundi village under Boden police limits in Nuapada district Sunday morning.

The jawans launched a combing operation in the forest and seized huge cache of arms and ammunitions. Seized items included five rifles, one pistol, 33 detonators, three rifle barrels, Maoist literature and other incriminating instruments used by the Maoists.

Notably, Border Security Force (BSF) had busted a Maoist camp during a combing operation inside Gandhamardhan reserve forest under Khaprakhol police limits in Bolangir district October 4.

Acting on a tip-off about the Left Wing extremist activity in the cut-off area in Malkangiri, District Voluntary Force (DVF) and SOG jawans had launched a combing operation to trace the Maoist camp.
