Cuttack: Cuttack district administration opened a second dedicated COVID-19 hospital in Cuttack city Monday, said Cuttack Collector Bhawani Shankar Chayani.
The hospital called Sadhguru COVID-19 hospital has started its operations in the district.
Cuttack Municipality Corporation (CMC) Commissioner Ananya Das informed about the same at Gita Govinda Sadan in Bhubaneswar to media persons Sunday evening.

The COVID-19 hospital has the capacity of 150 general beds. COVID-19 patients with kidney problems will also get dialysis treatment in the hospital. For this the hospital has 11 extra beds for the patients.
The hospital also has special facilities for expectant mothers who are COVID-19 positive. A special delivery ward was has also been installed by the hospital authorities.
66 per cent of the beds out of 150 in Ashwini Hospital have been occupied. Similarly, the COVID health centre, GIMSAR has occupancy of 79 per cent and 1,230 beds at COVID Care Centres in Cuttack district have occupancy of 64 per cent, said Collector Chayani.
“Currently, 542 COVID patients in the district are in home isolation. We have 1,821 COVID Management Committees at village levels and 113 Ward Level Committees at urban areas,” he added.
