Cuttack, June 29: After organising IPL and HIL matches successfully, Orissa now has the realistic chance to play host to the Pro-kabaddi League.
The inspection committee led by the chief executive of the league, Devrao Chaturvedi inspected the venues here and at Bhubaneswar. Even though the team was happy with the facilities at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Hall here, they were not too pleased with the condition of the ECoR Railway Indoor Hall at Bhubaneswar.
“Though Chaturvedi did not clarify whether Cuttack will be a venue this session, he admitted that the city has all the facilities to host international matches,” stated Orissa Kabaddi Association secretary, Ajay Kumar Behera here Monday. “If Cuttack is selected matches will be played July 22-25,” he added.
